Strengthening people. Strengthening organisations. Strengthening impact.

My journey into international development began with a search for meaningful service — and grew into a commitment to strengthening the people, organisations and systems behind sustainable change.

A Journey Toward Meaningful Service

From language and communication to international development.

My professional journey did not begin in development cooperation. I worked in interpreting and translation, including conferences and legal settings in Germany and Switzerland. Along the way, local organisations increasingly asked me to support project proposals, review reports and help communicate their work more clearly.

Those experiences awakened a deeper question: how could I combine communication, structure and service in a field where the work contributes to lasting change? In 2020, I chose to professionalise that interest through International Project Management training at GNE Witzenhausen.

The Turning Point · 2020

Where international development became a professional path.

In October 2020, I began the Manager / Coordinator in International Project Management programme at GNE Witzenhausen. A mandatory internship with CBM from January to April 2021 transformed theory into practice and opened a window into international cooperation with country offices, partner organisations and projects in different contexts.

That starting point grew into work spanning monitoring, financial and project steering, quality, donor reporting and cross-border collaboration — particularly with partners in West and Central Africa.

Program Quality & Capacity Strengthening

Supporting country offices to strengthen structures, develop quality and enable local teams to create sustainable impact.

Where I Contribute

Quality is strongest when people and systems grow together.

My work sits at the intersection of programme quality, organisational capacity, accountable implementation and learning.

01

Program Quality

Strengthening approaches, standards and processes that support sound programme design, implementation, monitoring and learning.

02

Capacity Strengthening

Helping teams and organisations identify needs, develop capabilities and translate learning into stronger day-to-day practice.

03

International Project Management

Connecting planning, implementation, monitoring, financial stewardship, reporting and donor requirements in complex settings.

04

Partnership & Learning

Supporting collaboration across teams and countries so that knowledge is shared, adapted and used to improve organisational practice.

International Perspective

Working across borders. Learning across contexts.

International development has taught me that strong solutions cannot simply be transferred from one context to another. Sustainable change requires listening, partnership, adaptation and respect for the knowledge already present in local teams and organisations.

My experience has included collaboration with partners in West and Central Africa and, in my current Program Quality work, capacity strengthening with country offices across a wider international network.

Professional Philosophy

Sustainable development is not only about delivering projects. It is about strengthening the people, organisations and systems that make lasting impact possible.

For me, professional excellence and service belong together: clarity, accountability and quality matter because they help people and organisations do meaningful work more effectively.

The Journey Continues

Building capacity for impact that lasts.

I remain committed to learning, strengthening others and contributing wherever experience, structure and collaboration can help good work become stronger.
